Material: Subway tile and Quartz⠀⠀I love the layered contrasts in this design. The mix of polished white countertops and a black leather finished island countertop doesn’t look chaotic or mismatched but rather elevated and expensive. The pop of the black and gold vent hood against the white cabinets is like a stunning piece of jewelry completing the look. However it is contrast of the splashy quartz against more subdued subway tile that is my favorite. It is this a great example of how to prioritize your budget when designing your kitchen. Quality countertops will add value to your home and will be worth the investment pairing it with a more affordable backsplash will not detract from the beauty of the countertops, if anything it will allow them to shine more.⠀⠀
